The backbone of Pelion…
Whichever part of Greece you come to visit Tsagarada, should pass by first from the city of Volos.
From the city of Volos there are two routes to reach Tsagarada (more info).
The road network of Pelion consists of several bends and some parts of the route require special attention.
If you do not have private transport you can move easily utilizing public transportation options to get to Volos, mainly by National Express Buses (KTEL) and railways (OSE).

From the city of Volos, the only available transportation option for Tsagarada is the bus.
The services from spring to autumn are quite dense and facilitate the movement from City of Volos to the villages of Pelion. The routes and timetables vary, so should you require more information please use the following contact numbers:

There are also taxis available in the city of Volos which can help you with the transportation to Tsagarada. In addition, there are two (2) taxis located in the village, which can also be very helpful whenever there is a need for transportation around the region.

For tourists coming outside Greece, they can see Volos Airport as an option, in addition to the airports of Athens (ATH) and Thessaloniki (SKG).
Volos Airport (VOL) is a modern airport that covers the needs of central Greece serving domestic/international and charter flights from/to several cities in Europe. The airport is located in Nea Anchialos 3 km after the exit of Almyros Interchange on Highway E75.
It is approximately 35 km away from Volos and it is connected to the city of Volos by Intercity Buses. Taxis are also available outside the terminal.
